Conrad Desender passed away suddenly, at home, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, after a long and courageous journey with kidney disease.
Born November 5, 1941, in Roeselare, Belgium, Conrad was the beloved husband of Yvonne (Catrysse) for 59 years.
In 1969, he founded Intergraphics Decal, which he proudly owned and operated for 54 years. His integrity, strong work ethic, and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues, clients, and friends.
Conrad will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Yvonne; his children, Gregory and Cheryl; his grandchildren, Nathan, Gabriella, Ella, and Nico; and his three brothers and three sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Susanne Desender.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane, Winnipeg, with interment to follow in the Garden of Crucifixion at Green Acres Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada – Manitoba Branch.

I was saddened to hear of Conrad’s passing and extend my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Conrad was a man of exceptional character with a kind and generous heart. I was so touched when he last attended a Friends gala to show his support even when he was in poor health. What inner strength and resolve! Barbara and I often spoke of him (and you) with great affection. We so appreciated his unwavering belief in what The Laureate Academy is all about. It was an honor to have him as our friend. I am saddened by the passing of Conrad, but I feel so grateful for the time I was able to learn from him in my early adult years. At the start of my career, I was lucky to work alongside Conrad and the amazing team at Intergraphics, just as technology was taking screen-printing to a whole new, world-class level. It was competitive, fast paced, and demanding. Conrad taught me lessons in work ethic that have stayed with me ever since. He had a way of making hard work feel approachable, and a conversation with him could always make you smile. Heartfelt condolences to family and friends.
